1. Accepted Payment Methods

Vensale offers a range of secure, locally relevant payment options to make shopping convenient for all our customers across Nigeria. All payments are processed through licensed, encrypted payment gateways.

1.1 Debit & Credit Cards

We accept all major cards issued by Nigerian and international banks:

• Verve (all Nigerian bank-issued Verve debit cards)
• Mastercard (debit and credit, local and international)
• Visa (debit and credit, local and international)

1.2 Bank Transfers & USSD

• Direct bank transfer — via Paystack or Flutterwave checkout
• USSD payments (*737#, *966#, and other bank USSD codes)
• Pay with Bank — instant bank account debit via Open Banking

1.3 Digital Wallets & Other Methods

• Paystack Balance
• Opay, Kuda, PalmPay, and other licensed fintech wallets (where supported)
• Vensale Store Credit (issued as refunds or promotional credit)
• Buy Now, Pay Later — Carbon Zero, CredPal, or Lipa Later (where available)

2. Payment Processing

Payment is collected in full at the time of order placement. By submitting an order, you authorise Vensale to charge the provided payment method for the total amount including the product price, applicable VAT, and delivery fees.

Payments are processed in Nigerian Naira (₦). For internationally-issued cards, your bank will convert to Naira at the prevailing exchange rate, which may differ from Vensale's listed prices.

3. Taxes

All product prices on vensale.app are displayed inclusive of applicable Value Added Tax (VAT) at the current rate mandated by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) of Nigeria. A tax breakdown is displayed in your cart and on your order invoice.

4. Order Confirmation

After a successful payment, you will receive a confirmation SMS and email within 5–10 minutes. The confirmation includes your order number, itemised products, amounts paid, and estimated delivery timeline.

If you do not receive confirmation within 30 minutes of payment, please check your spam folder. If still absent, contact info@vensale.app or call our support line before re-placing your order, to avoid duplicate charges.

5. Payment Failures

If your payment is declined, you will be notified immediately at checkout. Common causes include:

• Insufficient account balance or card limit reached
• Incorrect card details (number, expiry, or CVV)
• Card not enabled for online/e-commerce transactions
• Bank-level fraud prevention or transaction limits
• Network or connectivity issues during processing

We recommend enabling your card for online transactions via your bank's app, or contacting your bank if the issue persists. Your order will be held for 24 hours while you resolve the issue.

6. Fraud Prevention

Vensale employs advanced fraud detection to protect customers and our platform. Orders flagged as potentially fraudulent may be held for additional verification. We may request government-issued ID or OTP verification for high-value or unusual orders.

Any orders confirmed as fraudulent will be cancelled and reported to relevant Nigerian authorities including the EFCC and NITDA as appropriate.

7. Refunds

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Processing timelines are:

• Card refunds: 5–7 business days to the issuing bank
• Bank transfer refunds: 3–5 business days
• Wallet refunds (Opay, Kuda, etc.): 1–3 business days
• Vensale Store Credit: issued within 24 hours and valid for 12 months

8. Payment Disputes

If you believe a charge on your account is incorrect or unauthorised, please contact info@vensale.app before initiating a chargeback with your bank. We will investigate and resolve legitimate billing disputes within 5 business days.

Note: initiating an unwarranted chargeback may result in account suspension. We are committed to resolving genuine payment issues fairly and promptly.
